Pandora Alarm has become the proud official partner of the premiere of the documentary Autičkári by talented Slovak director Dominik Bari. This action-packed documentary, full of twists and adrenaline, supported by HBO, will be broadcast soon in more than 20 countries worldwide!
The film delves into the world of car theft mafia, offering insight into the workings of this criminal underworld in Slovakia. The documentary will premiere on September 28, 2024, at Kunsthalle Košice, followed by a public screening on October 5, 2024, at the Košice Amphitheater. Pandora Alarm is the official partner of both these premieres.
The documentary authentically portrays the issue of car thefts and their impact on people’s lives. Through the eyes of thieves, victims, and investigators, viewers are taken into the heart of criminal activity that poses a daily threat to motorists.
Director Dominik Bari, previously recognized as a member of Forbes’ prestigious 30 Under 30 list, considers this project his biggest achievement to date. The making of the film involved a large crew and dozens of actors, including a 70-member cast and 30 police vehicles. Filming was kept under strict secrecy.
The film captivates with its suspenseful, reality-inspired storyline, as an average of four cars are stolen daily in Slovakia. The CAR GANGS movie not only reveals the theft process from the perspective of the criminals but also explores the emotional toll faced by the victims of these crimes. The total budget for the film is estimated at over a quarter of a million euros, making it a significant project in Slovak cinematography.
